TOURISM FUNDS AWARDED TO SOUTHERN
AND EASTERN KENTUCKY
Somerset, KY- On January 17, 2007, TOUR Southern and Eastern
Kentucky’s Board of Directors awarded the 47-county region of
southern and eastern Kentucky $53,875.00 in Community Development
Funds.
These
funds will help to support and fund educational workshops,
interpretive wayside exhibits, brochure updates, trail enhancements
and more. There have been over 400 projects implemented with over two
million dollars allocated to the 47-county region.
These projects could not be possible without the help and
vision of Congressman Hal Rogers.
The
mission of TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky is to enhance the
existing and potential tourism industry throughout southern and
eastern Kentucky through tourism development, promotion and education.
